The Short Film Competition

Got the goods behind the camera to rival Peter Jackson?

If you’re a budding or blooming filmmaker and looking to go down in Festival One history we are holding the second inaugural short film competition to capture the essence of the event. Through video we want you to really unravel the tapestry and unveil the threads that are interwoven to make this such a special experience. We want you to show what makes your adventure unique – the epic party moments, the new friendships formed and the quiet moments of reflection!

To submit an entry create a max 90 sec video encompassing the vibe of the weekend, with the theme:

They say that two are better than one and we can’t help but agree! Whether you’re a movie making prodigy or have never filmed anything before, we want you to show us what community means to you.

Take a look at last year’s winners below:

Under 16: Jono Norton

Jono Norton’s montage of Festival footage perfectly captured the energy, colours and excitement of Festival One.

Over 16: Alexandar Jones

With deadpan delivery, a healthy dash of toilet humour and an exceptional piano player, Alexandar Jones won the over sixteen category in the Festival One Film Competition.
