Nick and Amanda Kraenzlin, formerly of Pop-rock outfit Sound the Ocean, have downsized from the stadium-ready anthems delivered by the 7-piece band to an acoustic worship duo, penning simple and honest songs that are inspired by their life journey. Having led worship together for more than a decade, the couple have embarked on a new musical direction, crafting intimate songs of devotion that will draw people to God in worship, and give voice to their heart’s cry. Nick is a well-travelled musician originally from Germany, coming from a musical family that spans three generations. He completed his Master of Arts degree at Waikato Institute of Technology, where he is currently the Voice Tutor for the Commercial Music degree. Amanda is also a music teacher, working with students at Fraser High School in Hamilton. Nick and Amanda are passionate about leading people in worship, and mentoring a younger generation of worshippers into the purposes of God. Their acoustic worship is inspired by the likes of All Sons and Daughters, Enter the Worship Circle, and Rend Collective. Nick and Amanda live in Hamilton with their 3 children Micah, Eva, and Olive, and are due to record their debut EP at the end of 2016.
